As always, I enjoy being a tourist in my own city. As my friend Rebecca saw an article about fun stuff to do in the summer, a photo of hammocks on governors island came up and obviously we had to go check it out.
Besides the small on and off sun shower we had when we actually found the hammocks, the island has some unique looking buildings. Almost reminding me of a deserted town from a horror movie.
The views from the island are amazing as well, between seeing Manhattan and its skyline, ellis island, statue of liberty, in the distance you could see the Brooklyn & Manhattan bridges, the Verrazano bridge & a little of Staten Island, New Jersey, & of course Brooklyn. So literally, everything.
